Quick Tow ATL Metro Atlanta referral line
Emergency Towing

Stranded in metro Atlanta? Start with one phone call.

A dead engine rarely picks a convenient place. It happens on the I-285 shoulder, in a Doraville apartment lot, or two blocks from a Braves game. Quick Tow ATL is a referral line, not a tow company. You call, explain where the car is, and we connect you with an independent licensed operator working Fulton, DeKalb, Cobb, Gwinnett or Clayton County. The line takes calls 24/7, in English and Spanish.

Signs you're in emergency towing territory

  • The engine cranks but won't catch, or won't crank at all
  • The temperature gauge is climbing while traffic is stopped
  • A warning light came on and the car is losing power
  • You hit something and the car is no longer safe to drive
  • You are parked legally but the car will not move, and the lot closes soon
  • Your insurer or motor club told you the tow is on you

What the operator we send brings to a emergency towing job

  • A phone line that takes calls around the clock, every day of the year
  • A match with an independent operator who covers the area where your car sits
  • The operator quotes the job, including mileage, before anyone is sent
  • Flatbed and wheel-lift trucks, chosen to suit your vehicle
  • Pickups on surface streets, parking decks, apartment lots and highway shoulders
  • A drop-off at your home, a repair shop, a dealership or a storage yard you pick

Straight answers on emergency towing

What does an emergency tow cost around Atlanta?

Quick Tow ATL does not set prices, because the independent operator does the work and bills for it. Ask for the full amount, mileage included, before you agree. Police-ordered and private-lot tows are different: those carry legal caps, covered in our guide to how much a tow costs in Atlanta.

Can you promise how soon a truck arrives?

No. Arrival depends on which operator is free and how far they are from you, so any promise made before those facts are known would be a guess. When the operator accepts the job, ask them for a window and a call-back number.

Who decides where the car goes if police are on scene?

The officer does. Inside the city, Atlanta police assign a contract wrecker by police zone, and that tow follows city rules, including a $125 towing-fee cap and no storage charge for the first 24 hours (Atlanta Code of Ordinances § 162-227). County lots run their own rules and fees. If the car is yours to direct, you choose the destination.

I have roadside coverage. Should I call you first?

Call your insurer or motor club first and ask what they will dispatch or repay. Quick Tow ATL has no confirmed partnership with AAA or any insurer. If their wait is long or the benefit has run out, call us and the operator quotes you directly.

Is it safe to stay in the car on a highway shoulder?

Generally yes, with your seatbelt on and hazard lights flashing, unless the car is in a live lane or smoking. Georgia law (O.C.G.A. § 40-6-203) bars stopping on a controlled-access highway except when necessary, so get onto the shoulder and stay there until help arrives.
